Day 2 - PPP but I MADE A THING!

"Proper preparation prevents piss poor performance"

Apparently I needed to do more preparations. I thought Unity came with a C# editor but I was wrong. So I had to download the massive thing, took nearly two hours and many gigs but was finally able to start. Now it have Visual Editor and a slew of other things that I may or may not need.

Good news - Despite some initial trouble with the language and how specific it is I was able to work through it and I made a thing! Look!

Originally I was going with the games 6x12, but that proved too large for my settings. I need to go back and adjust that before going on. But I completed video #2 and will make my changes before going on to video #3.

Day 1 - Goals and Prep and more prep

I intend to make a Puzzle Pirates clone, still debating if I want to change the format much or if I should be focusing on keeping it the same. I think for now I will keep it the same, maybe if I get success I can re-skin it with something I want more like a sci-fi setting.

I am setting one day a week, Wednesday as my coding day where I work this project. I wish to have an exportable playable match 3 game, with scoring, a UI, sound in six months. By Christmas!

I will be using Unity and C# to make this. Had to download Inkscape to make the art too.

Following part 0 and part 1 of the videos for creating a match 3 clone of candy crush.

I completed these with minimal errors. I think I might be able to use a program like paint.net easier since it is just .PNG files.

May my future be bright!
